Cochem is a traditional German town with half-timbered houses and an exceptionally scenic location on the Mosel river in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
The town is very small with only 5,000 inhabitants.
Cochem is about 3 hours 45 minutes from Frankfurt by train, a lot quicker by car only 1 1/2 hours.
Pam & I are going to take the train after our flights from Christchurch – > Singapore –> Zurich –> Frankfurt.
So we are going to rest here for 3 nights – I am sure we will need it.
