Well travelling to Vancouver should have been a great experience and something to look forward to but it was not.
Our lovely Ruby (Rottweiler) had been having a lot of problems since before Christmas with a ruptured cruciate ligament and then she got a mysterious sore front leg. The front leg only got worse even with Pain Killers and Physio. In the end we had X-rays taken 3 times and cancer was the cause of her problems. Every X-Ray shoed it getting a lot worse.
We did all we could but in the end we had to put Ruby down the day before we travelled to Canada as the cancer had really destroyed her bone.
Otto now has no sister and is by himself at the kennels which also makes us feel like we deserted him.
It was a very sad day on Friday when we dropped off the Kahman and Basil to the cattery and Otto to the kennels and we jumped on a plane for Auckland and beyond to Vancouver.
